Grand Tour To Armenia & Georgia

Day 1/Arrival

Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan.  Meet and greet by the Best Tour representative. Transfer to the hotel. Have a leisure day in one of the most beautiful cities in the world –Yerevan is also known as a Pink City. In the evening take an opportunity to have a night tour in the Republic Square, accompanied by singing fountains and the beautiful panoramic scene of downtown. Late in the evening return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2/Yerevan City Tour (Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park, Republic Square, History Museum of  Armenia, Modern Art Museum of Yerevan, Megerian Carpet)

After breakfast at the hotel, start city tour from newly opened Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park. Walk to Republic Square of Armenia, where the History Museum of Armenia is situated. It is regarded as Armenia’s national museum and has a national collection of 400,000 objects. Later visit the Modern Art Museum of Yerevan. This museum was the first to specialize in contemporary and modern art in the Soviet Union. In the evening have a welcome dinner and carpet weaving master class in Megerian Carpet. Later return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 3/Yerevan- Garni – Symphony of Stones – Geghard – Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel. Start the tour by visiting the only remaining pagan temple of Armenia – Garni. Near the temple in a very traditional setting have master classes of lavash baking, pottery and dried fruit making (optional *). After this unforgettable cultural experience hike to one of the most well-known and beautiful natural monuments of Armenia, Symphony of Stones, formed as a result of lava flows. After transfer to medieval Geghard Monastery.  The monastery originally named Ayrivank having the meaning “the Monastery of the Cave” is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status. Later return Yerevan. Visit Vernisaj for shopping (optional*).  Also visit “Old Bazaar” which is now modern supermarket, where you can find eatable souvenirs.  Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 4/ Yerevan – Tsaghkadzor – Sevanavank Monastery – Dilijan – Haghartsin Monastery – Sadakhlo boarder – Tbilisi

After the breakfast at the hotel drive to the SPA town Tsaghkadzor visit a medieval Armenian monastic complex Kecharis dating back to the 11th to 13th centuries. Drive to Tsaghkadzor ropeway (optional*) to have a unique experience at the top of Mount Teghenis. After have a stop near the Lake Sevan to visit “Black Pearl” of Armenia – Sevanavank Monastery (9th century). Then move to the “Green Queen” Dilijan, also known as a Little Switzerland. Find hidden-in-the-forest Haghartsin Monastery (13th monastery). After this memorable move to Armenia -Georgia border Sadakhlo, fulfill border crossing formalities and start an unforgettable tour in the city of fairy-tails-Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 5/Tbilisi City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, we have Tbilisi Walking Sightseeing tour. During the tour visit old city. Take a glance to the history of the city from early centuries to nowadays by walking in narrow streets of the city. Visit ancient Narikala fortress. After move to  Saint Gevorg church and Sioni Cathedral. After visit the sulfur bath which made an unforgettable impression on Pushkin, Lermontov, Dumas. During the tour you enjoy the superb panoramic views of the Old city by visiting Freedom square, Sharden’s street and Shota Rustaveli avenue. This marks the end of the Old Town. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 6/Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Uplistsikhe – Tbilisi 

After the breakfast at the hotel move to Mtskheta and visit its historic Jvari Monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) –both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then drive to the cave complex of Uplistsikhe. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi. 

Day 7/Tbilisi – Kazbegi – Tbilisi

In the morning, drive to Kazbegi and from there walk up for about 1.5 hours through beautiful valleys and woodland which leads us to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170 m, offering beautiful views of the Caucasus Mountains and the town of Kazbegi. Weather permitting, we may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (5047m). Afterward, drive to Dariali Gorge. Later drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 8/Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
