Hiking Adventures In Armenia

Day 1/Arrival

Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan.  Meet and greet by the Best Tour representative. Transfer to the hotel. Have a leisure day in one of the most beautiful cities in the world –Yerevan is also known as a Pink City. In the evening take an opportunity to have a night tour in the Republic Square, accompanied by singing fountains and the beautiful panoramic scene of downtown. Late in the evening return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2/Yerevan City Tour (Victory Park of Armenia, Cascade Complex, Republic Square,  History Museum of  Armenia, Modern Art Museum of Yerevan, Yerevan Zipline)

After breakfast at the hotel, start the city tour by bike from Victory Park.  The park is a large forested area with an artificial lake, an amusement park, cafes, Mother Armenia (Mayr Hayastan) statue and museum, and sweeping views of central Yerevan. After the walk down Cascade complex – a giant stairway made of limestone. The next stop is Republic Square, where the History Museum of Armenia is situated. It is regarded as Armenia’s national museum and has a national collection of 400,000 objects. Later visit the Modern Art Museum of Yerevan. This museum was the first to specialize in contemporary and modern art in the Soviet Union. In the evening if desired have first adventure experience in Yerevan Zip-line(optional*).

Day 3/Yerevan- Garni – Symphony of Stones – Geghard – Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel. Start the tour by visiting the only remaining pagan temple of Armenia – Garni. Near the temple in a very traditional setting have master classes of lavash baking, pottery and dried fruit making (optional *). After this unforgettable cultural experience hike to one of the most well-known and beautiful natural monuments of Armenia, Symphony of Stones, formed as a result of lava flows. After transfer to medieval Geghard Monastery.  The monastery originally named Ayrivank having the meaning “the Monastery of the Cave” is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status. Later return Yerevan. Visit Vernisaj for shopping (optional*).  Also visit “Old Bazaar” which is now the modern supermarket, where you can find eatable souvenirs.  Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 4/ Yerevan – Lake Sevan – Dilijan – Lake Parz – Lake Gosh – Yenokavan

After the breakfast drive to the Green Queen of North – Dilijan also known as Little Switzerland. Have a photo stop near lake Sevan and move to start hiking from Lake Parz to Lake Gosh through the dense forest, breathing fresh air and drinking mountainous water. Hiking lasts 5-6 hours.  Have a rest, have an hour hike to village Gosh. In the evening drive to Ijevan. Overnight at the hotel in Ijevan.

Day 5/ Yenokavan – Lastiver – Yerevan

After the breakfast drive to Yenokavan to start extreme adventures. Here try Zip-line, Paragliding, Rope Park, Off-road, Via Ferrata, Rock climbing, Paintball and Horseback riding (optional *). Later have 6 km long hike to Lastiver – a magical must-see place to visit in Armenia. In the evening return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 6/Yerevan – Mount Aragats –Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel move to the highest Mount Aragats and start hiking. A beautiful lake named Kari is situated here, has a great opportunity to enjoy that fantastic view and return to Yerevan. You can do shopping bringing a memorable experience and souvenirs.

Day 7/Departure

Breakfast at the hotel.  Free time. Check out & transfer to the airport.
